About Me

I was born to a simple family in Zamboanga City, which is located far south of the Philippines. I and my sister were raised by an industrious and loving single mother, who has to work out of the country to make ends meet. When my mother is working, my grandmother was always there to take care of me and my sibling. Growing up was fun-filled and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am who I am today because of the love and nurturing care of these two amazing women.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in one of the premiere colleges in my country, Ateneo de Zamboanga University. I was active in extracurricular activities and in my studies. I took part in various dancing competitions and sport events like volleyball and tennis. With much hard work and discipline, I graduated as Cum Laude. After passing my nursing licensure exam, I started to work in Ciudad Medical Zamboanga, a local tertiary hospital renowned for its quality services, as a staff nurse. My hunger for knowledge and the want to be a better nurse never faded. In this respect, I attended many healthcare trainings and seminars in different fields of nursing like emergency care, intensive care, operating room, dialysis training, and many others. In just a few years time, I was able to manage a medical surgical station as an acting head nurse. At the same time, I also taught aspiring nurses in a respected nursing school. After several productive years, I was given the opportunity to work as a nurse in Switzerland. However, I had to learn a new language in order to work there. German was a hard language to learn but I loved the challenge. As of the moment, I can now speak 2 local dialects from the Philippines (Visayan and Chavacano, which is like Spanish) and 3 mother tongues namely, Filipino, English and German.

After months of German language training, I was finally able to work in Spital Lachen in the canton of Schwyz and resided in a quiet town of Lachen along the lake of Zurich. My experience in Switzerland was eye-opening and inspiring. It also gave the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream of mine, travelling. Since I was young, I aspired to travel around the world. Since stepping foot in Europe, I was able to travel within Switzerland and other wonderful places like Paris, Greece, London, Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Milan and many more. These travels have barely quenched my thirst for adventure and to experience rich and vibrant cultures. I foresee more fascinating travels in the future and I look forward to discovering more in life.

Nearly the end of 2014, Germany opened its doors for me. Hence, in October 2014, I began my journey as a registered nurse in Evangelisches Pflegezentrum Sendling in Sonnengarten. Not long after, I was already assigned to another station as the deputy head nurse. I learned a lot in that short time so that, in July 2015, I was immediately given the opportunity to open a new station as the head nurse. Then, from 15th of February to 31st of October 2016, I was the deputy chief nurse.

After exactly 2 years of working in a home care, I decided to transfer to Schön Klinik München Schwabing, a rehabilitation neurology hospital in Munich, Germany. I worked as a Staff Nurse for 4 months and got promoted to be the deputy head nurse in an early rehabilitation unit. Then after a year I decided to reduce my workload to 50% and work as a staff nurse in a Parkinson`s Ward. At the same time, working as a nurse consultant for another company.
